Georgia Kings: Coach Tim how has your summer been? Thank you for taking the time to speak with about the new Georgia Kings elite program and answer a few questions for us.
Coach Tim: "The summer has been great, I'm really excited about getting our new program up and going."
Georgia Kings: When does the program start? And what is the Georgia Kings elite program?
Coach Tim: We started Workouts this Sunday July 7th . And the Georgia Kings elite program is a program designed to keep talented core players playing and working out together all year round. So we will be looking to play in tournaments, have practices, develop body strength all year long in preparation for AAU / exposure tournaments that typically run from February through the end of July. For this month of July we will be working out twice a week and we will focusing on a combination of basketball skills development & strength and conditioning. In addition to playing and developing basketball skills the program is designed to develop commitment, dedication and hard work ethics to our youth. These young men will be able to use these skills as they grow into young adults."
Georgia Kings: What Challenges have you faced thus far with being a new program?
Coach Tim: No major challenges as of yet. We have a select group of boys that we feel confident that will help grow the elite program. We are looking to add more talented players to the team as we continue to grow ."
Georgia Kings: What type of players/positions are you looking to add?
Coach Tim: "Talented/skilled big men who play the 4 and 5 positions are some of our immediate needs and as always players with good & can do attitudes that want to work hard to get better. But we are open to evaluate other players that can help grow our team as well."
Georgia Kings: What is next for the program?
Coach Tim: Finish the schedule training for the month of July, try to play in 2 tournaments the 1st and 2nd week of August, look to add a few more talented players, and continue to practice and develop our skills."
Georgia Kings: Thank you for speaking with us today and we look forward to seeing the development of the Georgia Kings elite program.
